Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation By:Bill Nye
Undeniable. What does it mean? To Bill Nye the Science guy, it means it can NOT be denied. When you read this book, you could experience this many ways that could lead to "His thoughts are wrong" or the exact opposite "I love these ideas!" and anywhere in between. You want the full experience? You should read this book and find out for yourself. You really can't judge this book by its cover or what people say about it, yet this is what I thought.
One of the most interesting points that our group discussed was the idea that “Religious people are against evolution.” From here Nye dives into his explanation of why and how evolution is true. With his charming, easy-going, narrative style, Bill encourages the reader to see the natural world as it is, not as some would wish it to be. He does it right. And, as I expected, he does it best. Nye has written a wonderfully clear, readable, and enjoyable explanation of what evolution is and is not. In his casual, humorous style, he describes the humongous mountain of evidence that demonstrates that evolution not only happened in the past, but is happening in real time.He then goes on to state and explain all of the facts on evolution in his attempt to change the minds of millions of people from around the world. He talks about how we can create different species and how they are formed and bred both naturally and scientifically. The big idea is about how evolution is much more than a rebuttal to creationism, it’s also a better way to look into life itself. This book kind of gave me a good idea of myself in a way, about how I actually became who I am and etc.
